2025 marks a major milestone for us at Cheeze as we proudly introduce The Reward Wallet for Base. After months of testing under the project name Chedar Wallet, we’ve gathered invaluable feedback, made key refinements, and shaped what we believe to be a world-class product.

The Reward Wallet is an onchain loyalty wallet that lets users claim, earn, and redeem loyalty points from brands on the blockchain. If you’re in the UK, think Nectar points, but on the blockchain—with added flexibility, liquidity, and instant usability.

We have also been fortunate to secure the app name ‘Rewards’ on iPhone, making it as seamless to use and find as your built-in apps; Photos, Maps, Music… and now, Rewards. With this, we’re bringing loyalty programs into the next generation of digital engagement.

What Does The Reward Wallet Do?

The Reward Wallet is designed to get you on the blockchain in under 20 seconds. If you’re already onchain, you can simply connect your existing MetaMask or Coinbase wallets.

Once you’re set up, you can:

• Earn and redeem points from brands and partners on the Cheeze network.

• Instantly scan or tap at participating businesses like restaurants, gas stations, and hotels to earn points.

• Scan to Earn™- you can scan ANY real world product to unlock crypto tokens, rewards and more.

Scan-to-Earn™

One of the most exciting features of The Reward Wallet is its scan-to-earn capability. This allows users to scan QR codes or product barcodes to instantly earn loyalty tokens. We can whitelist any product barcode or QR code and select how many tokens a user gets and set specific requirements, such as geo fence, what NFTs they hold, how many tokens they own and more.

Over the coming months we will be whitelisting Base $tokens on the wallet and set what you can earn from scanning. At launch we will have $BRETT and $REKT available to earn. These tokens will then be hidden on certain products giving everyone, in Web2 or Web3, the ability to find and earn tokens. The Willy Wonka of Web3 has arrived.

Built on Base

We’re thrilled to launch The Reward Wallet on Base, Coinbase’s Layer 2 blockchain. Base is designed for scalability, security, and affordability, making it an ideal foundation for real-world blockchain applications. By leveraging Base, we can offer:

• Fast and low-cost transactions, making rewards more accessible.

• Ethereum-level security, ensuring a robust and reliable onchain ecosystem.

• Seamless integration with Coinbase products, including on/off-ramping into USDC and other cryptocurrencies.

Apple NFC + Blockchain

As part of Apple’s NFC platform, The Reward Wallet is uniquely positioned to integrate Apple Wallet and Secure Element technology with blockchain-based loyalty rewards. This combination unlocks several game-changing capabilities:

• Apple Wallet Integration – Users can store and access their loyalty points directly from Apple Wallet, just like a boarding pass or a credit card.

• Secure Element Technology – By leveraging Apple’s Secure Element, we ensure that transactions and tokenised rewards are secure and tamper-proof.

• Tap-to-Earn Functionality – Users can simply tap their phone at checkout or on an NFC-enabled terminal to instantly earn and redeem rewards onchain.

This seamless integration is under development and when ready will bridge the gap between traditional payment ecosystems and blockchain-based loyalty, making adoption frictionless for both consumers and businesses.

Getting started is simple:

Once you have the wallet, you can:

• Use it as your main QR code scanner, earning points with each scan.

• Scan ANY product barcode to search for tokens.

• Over the coming months, we’ll be partnering with brands to hide crypto tokens on products like your favourite soda or your book.

What If You Have The Old Cheeze App?
